query

The query command works essentially the same under the email gateway is it does under the command line; send a mail message to the gateway with the same subject line as you would pass to the query command, and you should get an appropriate response shortly:

[vputz@yak_prime temp]$ mail yaktrack
Subject: query defect defect[submitterid="vputz"]/synopsis
(presses control-d to terminate message)
Cc: (presses return)
Null message body; hope that's ok
[vputz@yak_prime temp]$ mail
Mail version 8.1 6/6/93. Type ? for help.
